I'm back!

I'm no longer on vacation! I had a ton of fun in New Mexico, and I miss my friends already. (And I missed an episode of Jersey Shore :( ). Sorry this blog is short. I just have a couple things I wanted to say real quick.

I updated the FAQs section of my blog, so you can check that out if you want.

If you ordered a signed book from me, but haven't received it yet, email me: hocking_amanda@hotmail.com. I'm at war with the postal service.

Oh, and how excited are you about Anne Hathaway playing Catwoman in the new Batman? I'm like a 20 on a scale from 1-10.

Here are some fun pics from New Mexico (all courtesy of my friend Valerie):

  1. Oh my gosh, those pics are amazing! So glad you had fun! Jersey Shore was ridiculously hilarious as always, with a touch of sad. Loved Ascend, BTW; great ending!

  2. Glad your back! Hope you had a great vacation. And yes, this Jersey Shore was the best this season! (even though it was only like the 3rd episode)

Glad you had a good time. You deserve a break :)

On another note...where can I get signed copies of books...I read all of the e-books you have published now and would love to buy the signed hardcopies.

  6. Thanks guys. I enjoyed my vacation very much, and New Mexico is really pretty.

I think I'm caught up on the Jersey Shore now (thanks MTV for playing episodes 37 times a week). I'm really sad for JWoww. I like her lots. She's my favorite.

@Anon - I'm not selling signed copies for awhile. I'm having issues with the mail, and I don't have enough time to commit to keeping track of everything the way I need to. So for a little while, I won't be doing them. Sorry.

  9. Correction 2 my previous post...I got the latest book nook for Christmas & it was great to read all 3 back to back w/o having to go back to book store. I loved your style & the way you keep us fully involved by tying up loose Ends! Not much for zombie genre but will def try Hollowland. Thank you

  11. What did it feel like to be unplugged? Was it hard in some ways to be "out of the loop" a bit or was it totally a relief? Anyway, glad to have you back!

  12. Love the pictures and I am thrilled that you had a great vacation. Time away is so important to give you a chance to re-generate. I do wish, though, that you were planning to finish up MBA before starting a new book. I, along with my daughter, am having terrible withdrawl pangs...

  14. I miss you already too! I wish the whole clique could be in one place again. That would be neat. But I think we might have a hard time getting Bronson back. Anyway...the time will come, I suppose. Your pictures are pretty good! Are those all cell phone pictures? Cos that's amazing if they are! I thought about blogging with photos too, but I didn't know what to say except that it was fun and that I miss you. And since you're the only one who reads it, it wouldn't have mattered. So, thank you for posting pics and things!

  16. Nice pics! I used to live in New Mexico - Rio Rancho - and I really, really miss the weather there. We used to have a view of the Sandia Mountains from our backyard. :)

  17. @gniz I never completely unplugged. I had to check a lot of things and a lot of emails I had to answer. But I toned it down it a lot, and it was a very nice change of pace.

@Valerie Lol. You crack me up.

@David We were actually staying in Rio Rancho. It's really lovely.
