I made Joy Behar's lasagna (the best lasagna recipe ever, as long as you skip the onions), the Muppet Family Christmas DVD is playing, and the fire is roaring, so I'll make this blog brief (or at least try to).
It's only 26 days until Switched comes out, and there's a lot of things going on. I'm doing a lot of interviews (with pieces coming out soon). My publishers are working on a super fancy website as well as book trailers that sound completely awesome.
Come January, I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling to the promote the books. That includes a couple of book signings. The only date I know of for sure right now is Tuesday, January 10th at 7 PM at the Barnes & Noble in the old Chateau Theater in downtown Rochester, MN (also known as THE coolest B&N location ever).
I'll also be going to England in January. I can't remember for sure what day I'm getting there, but I think it's the third week. I don't know what they have lined up for me to do yet, but I'll be sure to let you know as soon as I do.
So yep. There's a lot of stuff coming up soon. Sorry it all seems so vague, but I don't want to pass along information unless it's concrete.
I went sledding today, and that was fun. But now I'm cold, and I should go eat some lasagna and drink some hot chocolate. And watch the Muppets.
Muppet Family Christmas is one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. Also Scrooge from 1970 with Albert Finney. Good stuff :) So jealous you get to go to England.

All of that sounds so awesome! I wish I had that Christmas Muppets DVD, seeing the movie made me crave more Muppets.

That's awesome. So glad to hear it. I love reading and thoroughly enjoyed your books. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing news! I live in the UK so that's double awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou need to come to RI, I have all of your ebooks and I would LOVE to meet you! I haven't watched a Muppet Christmas yet, I reserve that for a closer to Christmas date! I haven't gone sledding either because it is unseasonably warm here (it's been in the high 50's). I hope that you have a wonderful holiday and I so glad that your writing is getting the recognition it deserves. I am so Trylle series is over though, by far one of my favorite series!
ReplyDeleteLove UR books, hopefully u stop by san antonio,tx so I can get an autograph :):) happy holidays
ReplyDeleteHope to see you in West Jordan, UT. I'd love to meet you, you're one of my favorite authors.
ReplyDeleteI should clarify that for this book, I will not be extensively doing US book signing. I only know of two US dates right now, and I don't think there will be more.
ReplyDeleteThere just isn't as much time as I'd like, so I won't be able to hit all the places I'd want to, sorry.
In the future, I'm sure I will hit more US cities, though. And when I do, I'll let you all know.
Sounds like some excellent fun to be had and more to come in the future. The date for Switched to be released almost seemed to creep up but this has been going for a while so I guess the excitement made the time fly by.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!
Omg where are you going to in england i have to go!!!! xx
ReplyDeleteI hope I'll be able to make it to see you in England when you come. Have a Merry Christmas!! I'm now looking up the Lasagne recipe to give it a shot!
ReplyDeleteWow, let us know when you're in England!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm really hoping that your UK publisher will send you to Leeds or Manchester. When Cassie Clare came she only hit London which sucked. I mean, if I'd gotten tickets I would have gone anyway, but it's just so incredibly expensive!
ReplyDeleteWow! Sounds like a busy and exciting schedule for you. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI am a fellow onion hater :) If you are doing a winter tour in the future, you should come to Florida. It's nice and warm down here!
ReplyDeleteI am excited for you and I hope you come to Denver, CO.

Veronica
<3 LOVE your writing! I just finished up Hollowland and Hollowmen! I read each in 1night and stayed up until 6am both times to finish b/c I couldn't put Remy down! I was just wondering (and secretly hoping) if there will be a third book sometime soon? YA Zombie Romance is lacking! We need more!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm thinking about those crazy guys who make that 20,000 calorie lasagna on youtube. As if the holidays aren't enough to make you go up a few dress sizes anyway! It's so funny watching your kids enjoy the same shows you did as a kid the Muppets I love, especially Animal he was always the coolest muppet in my opinion. Good luck on the new book!
ReplyDeleteI hope that one the U.S. cities you will be visiting is L.A.!!!
ReplyDeleteMERRY CHRISTMAS
